Boundless Digital Joins PrivacySiG

10/11/2018

PrivacySiG is happy to welcome Boundless Digital as member.

Boundless Digital issued the following statement regarding their joining

In the age of digital transformation and big data, our personal data has never been so easily available. Recently, Cambridge Analytica data scandal has shaken the Internet so much that the legislation on data protection has been strengthened especially in Europe, with the adoption and implementation, on May 25, of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Despite taking tougher sanctions against unscrupulous actors, now is the time for mistrust. People are worried about how and for what purpose some of their personal data is collected. It is therefore up to retailers to restore trust between themselves and their customers by guaranteeing transparency.

At Boundless Digital (formerly Ivizone), we have always paid attention to data security. We did not wait for the GDPR to develop solutions that respect the privacy of users. The data we collect is systematically anonymized and we can not collect qualified data without first obtaining the explicit consent of their owners. With Boundless Digital solutions, people know what will be done with their personal data before agreeing. While our goal is to help retailers better understand the expectations of their visitors to boost their business, the brand-customer relationship must be "win-win". 86% of French people are willing to spend more in stores that are ethical in the management of their data. Establishing a relationship of trust with its customers is therefore a paying strategy for retailers!

To mark his commitment to the security of personal data, Boundless Digital has joined The PrivacySIG. This association, which campaigns to ensure the respect of consumer privacy, brings together retail intelligence stakeholders behind a code of conduct. Each new member must prove that he respects a number of principles, such as the anonymization of data, the security of data transfer, the transparency of information delivered to consumers, the possibility for the user to refuse to appear in the database, etc. By joining the community The PrivacySIG, we have the ambition to lead the way and build together a retail that respects the privacy of consumers.

Based on our assessment of the GDPR, we decided to join PrivacySIG. Not only because ‘Codes of Conduct’ are promoted by the GDPR, but also to demonstrate to our stakeholders that our organization is aware of what is needed to conduct lawful processing of personal data.
